Madonna Children – Lourdes Leon

First Madonna Children Lourdes was born to Madonna and her then boyfriend Carlos Leon in 1996. When Madonna announced that she was pregnant with a baby, the world went into frenzy as she was arguably ‘the most famous woman in the whole world’ at that time in the mid 90s.

In late 1998, Madonna got her daughter’s first pictures published in the Vanity Fair magazine and the entire world became obsessed by little Lourdes.

As she grew up, Lourdes constantly remained in the limelight. Towards the late 2000, Madonna married the English film director Guy Ritchie. She took Lourdes to London with her, where she got Lourdes enrolled into a French school along with her step-brother Rocco.

Still a kid, Lourdes had been actively making appearances with her mother on several events. Lourdes has worked as a fashion designer, actor and fashion model.

Presently, she has been studying performing arts from the prestigious University of Michigan and shares a healthy relationship with both of her biological parents. In 2016, Lourdes made her modelling debut as she appeared in the ad campaign for ‘Pop’ perfume.

Madonna Children – Rocco Ritchie

He was born on August 11, 2000. He was born to popular singer cum actress Madonna and English film director Guy Ritchie.

Madonna Children Ritchie received much unwanted attention from paparazzi during the period of the long-drawn legal battle between his parents. Paparazzi constantly stalked him.

Paparazzi severely breached his privacy. The publicity he got only increased as he became a teenager. Media linked him with each and every girl he met. He often made it to the gossip section in the leading tabloids owing to his parents’ actions.

Ritchie also struggled with personal issues during that time. Police reportedly caught him with cannabis in his possession. He then struggled hard to get his life back in control.

Madonna Children – David Banda Mwale Ciccone Ritchie

David was born on September 24, 2005, in the southeastern African country, Malawi. His biological father, Yohane, abandoned the newborn in the nursing home after his mother died.

A month later, when the famous celebrity singer, Madonna visited the orphanage while touring for one of her charity programs, she saw David for the first time. He was not in a good health.

Suffering from pneumonia then, the little David was on the verge of death. Madonna immediately filed for an adoption and wanted the baby as soon as possible.

She named the baby David Banda Mwale Ciccone Ritchie, which included the names of his birthplace and Madonna’s then-husband, Guy Ritchie.

David was passionate about football from the very beginning. He started his training early. He later moved to Lisbon to continue with his training under the ‘Benfica Academy.’

Madonna Children – Mercy James

Mercy James was born on 22nd January 2006 in Malawi. Her mother Mwandida Kambewa passed away eight days after James’ birth.  

Mercy James is focused on her studies at present.

Later Madonna opened the country’s first-ever pediatric surgery and intensive care center, which she named The Mercy James Institute for Pediatric Surgery and Intensive Care, after her now-11-year-old daughter.

Madonna Children – Estere and Stelle

Estere and Stelle’s mother reportedly died and their father Adam Mwale was unable to care for them so he took them to an orphanage.

It so happened to be an orphanage where Madonna was a frequent visitor. She met them on one of her visits and her heart so melted that she knew she would become more than just a friend to them.

In 2017, after adopting the twin girls from a Malawian orphanage, Madonna opened a state-of-the art pediatric unit and the President declared her a daughter of the nation.
