Sachin Pilot Father

He is the son of a senior politician Rajesh Pilot. Rajesh Pilot was an Indian politician and a minister in the Government of India.

He belonged to the Indian National Congress party and represented the Dausa constituency in Lok Sabha. His original name was Rajesh Bidhuri.

Sachin Pilot Wife

He married Sara Abdullah on 15 January 2004. Sara Abdullah is the daughter of Farooq Abdullah, chairman of Jammu & Kashmir National Conference and ex-Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.

Together they have two sons, Aaran and Vehaan. Currently, Sachin Pilot and Sara Pilot live in Ghaziabad.

Sachin Pilot Education

He studied at Air Force Bal Bharati School, New Delhi, and holds a B.A. from St. Stephens College, University of Delhi, a diploma in marketing from I.M.T. Ghaziabad and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA.

Soon British Broadcasting Corporation(BBC) employed him with the Delhi Bureau. Later he worked with American multinational corporation General Motors for two years.

Sachin Pilot Sister

Sarika Pilot (Born 17 April 1975) is the sister of former Minister of Corporate Affairs, Sachin Pilot. She studied at the Air Force Bal Bharati School in New Delhi. Later Sarika continued her studies at Hindu college.

Later she married Vishal Chaudhary on the 6 February 2000. They share two children, a girl, Suhaani and a boy, Vir.

Sachin Pilot Biography

He is currently serving as the deputy chief minister of Rajasthan and as President of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee. Sachin has represented the Tonk assembly seat in Rajasthan since 2018.

He was previously a member of the Indian Parliament for the Ajmer and Dausa constituencies of Rajasthan. So becoming the youngest member of parliament when people elected him from the latter seat in 2004, aged 26.

He was also the Minister of Corporate Affairs in the Second Manmohan Singh ministry. Later he on 6 September 2012 became the first Union minister of India to be commissioned as an officer in the Territorial Army (India), fulfilling his desire to follow his father’s footsteps to be in the armed forces. He is therefore known as Lieutenant Pilot for being an officer in the Territorial Army (India).

Sachin Pilot Rajasthan

Soon in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, he defeated the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Kiran Maheshwari by a margin of 76,000 votes and won the seat of Ajmer.

Later in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, congress party nominated him from the Ajmer constituency. Bharatiya Janata Party’s sitting MLA Sanwarlal Jat defeated him with 1,71,983 votes.

Later in the 2018 Legislative Assembly elections, Pilot won from the Tonk seat, after defeating Yunus Khan by a margin of 54,179 votes. Soon on 17 December 2018, he was sworn in as Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan under Ashok Gehlot.

Sachin Pilot Caste

His father original name was Rajesh Bidhuri. Bidhuri is a surname found in India in Gurjar /Gujjar caste. Bidhuri also used as ” Vidhuri “. It is one of a main gotra in Gujjar /Gurjar caste of India. The Gurjars are classified as Other Backward Class (OBC) in some of India’s States and UTs.
