Dharmendra Pradhan Family
BJP leader Dharmendra Pradhan was born on 26 June 1969 at Talcher, Odisha, India. He is 49 years old.
He was born to Debendra Pradhan and Basanta Manjari Pradhan in Talcher district of Angul, Odisha on June 26, 1969.
His father who was a minister in Vajpayee government was a MP from Deogarh constituency. He left his seat in 2004 thus paving the way for his son.

Dharmendra Pradhan Biography
Soon he entered into the realm of politics as a member of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). Later student elected him as the President of Talcher College Students’ Union in 1985. He actively participated in the students’ movements in the state of Odisha.
He won the Lok Sabha elections of 2004 from the constituency. But Pradhan lost the subsequent elections.
Soon he was elected as the national secretary of ABVP and subsequently of Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha from 2004 to 2006.
Later he was the general secretary of the party in 2011, he also looked after the activities of the party in Jharkhand. He became organizer of party activities in Karnataka, Uttarakhand and Odisha.
In 2012 he was elected as the member of Rajya Sabha from the state of Bihar. Later he became member of several committees like Committee on Government Assurances, Joint Parliamentary Committee to examine matters relating to allocation and pricing of telecom licences and spectrum, Committee on Rural Development and Committee on Agriculture.
He is a close confidant of BJP party President Amit Shah and was one of the Chief Architects for the victory of BJP in Bihar in the Lok Sabha election of 2014.

Soon Madhya Pradesh MLA elected him to the Rajya Sabha in March 2018. Later Pradhan became member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India. He represented the Deogarh constituency of Odisha.
Currently the Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship in the NDA Government.
